NO, You can't blame the protagonist for killing him... Remember the "real" scenario EVERYONE put him into... Sure, revenge is illegal, but in this case it's pretty much a "justified" killing and no one can blame him for what he had done (because almost everyone will do the same). And what the hek everyone DID!? They watched and stream the whole thing in THE SAME room but NOT ANYONE showed up/stopped him from beating up the guy? What did they do, sleeping?
